Domestic pigs are farmed in herds and are also kept as pets because they are smart and easily trained.

Life Cycle

Pigs birth an average of seven piglets, each weighing about 2 pounds after a gestation period of three months.

Population & Treats

Easily found all around the world as livestock and pets in farms, zoos and private homes.

Range

With an estimated 2 billion alive at any time, the domestic pig is one of the most numerous and widespread large mammals on the planet.
